So, a simple project! We needed some new pantry shelves, as the old ones were ugly, and didn’t have enough room. Our pantry isn’t really a pantry to start with, so, we had to get creative. So, as the first pic shows, the shelves go to the ceiling: our pantry is actually the entry to the crawl space, and it also houses the water heater – it below a set of stairs. The second pic shows the face frame glued and nailed to hide the dadoes. The third is just a pic showing a top view. The fourth is to show the next ‘project’ area. I’m going to continue the new pantry shelf to follow the contour of the stairs. I will build two shelves, one for each side of the wall, might as well get as much space as I can hey? Since they are just pantry shelves, I didn’t put too much effort into them: one coat watco danish oil (natural), and one coat watco clear lacquer, semi-gloss.

Great design and use of space. I am always looking for space saving items to build.

Nicely done and oh so useful. Good use of the space.
Since my last project was also a pantry set I can understand the need.
