I needed a birthday gift for my wife’s sister and I thought this would work. This is a relatively simple fretwork clock pattern that I downloaded from Steve Good’s website . Like most everything I do I modified the pattern a bit by making the profile thinner by about an 1 1/2” and I added the 1/8” thick walnut liner to the inside.

That base and top are made from oak and the fretwork is cut from hard maple. I kind of like the combination especially with the walnut backdrop to the maple. The clock insert is 2 3/4” with a 2 1/2” mounting hole. I bought the inserts online from Klockit

Thanks for looking!!

Just came in from the workshop to get lunch and saw your LJ’s email. You continue to inpress me Lee.
I like the look of the walnut liner on the inside. Photo #3 showes the depth of the pattern. What type of finish will you use?
She’s a beautiful piece!
Nice work Lee!

Very nice scrolled clock. I like the way you added color to the scrolled front and sides. Did you attach a back to the clock?

That’s a great gift! Nice design. I am pretty sure your wife’s sister will like it.

Hawaiilad, the back is left open so that you can adjust the time and change batteries.
