Made this box in order to learn how to use the Incra Jig system that I got as a gift.

Box is maple and walnut with a wenge handle. Obviously used box joints for construction. Floating panel in the box base.

Finished with 4 coats of tung oil (real stuff, not vanish blend). Would like to learn to do wax finishes next.

Shawn.

This is a beautiful box. You did a good job on the box joints. It looks like you have the Incra jig working.

Thanks for the post.

Once you get the hang of using an Incra fence and jig system it will expand the use of your router table to one of your main tools in the shop. By the looks of the box you’ve got a good handle on it already.

Beautiful work. I really like your wood choice. Really shows off the box joints.

Obviously the jig works very well. Okay…so maybe you had a little to do with it. <g>

Very nice … I’ll have to get up the nerve to practice some dovetails soon …the box joints were fairly easy even when cut on my table saw….Practice makes perfect !!!

I like the strong contrast of colors, and that handle is very nice.
Its tedious getting those jigs figured out and dialed in at first, but results are worth it.
