This display table measures 42 wide by 26 deep and 20 high. It was delivered SEP 6th for a retirement ceremony taking place on the USS MIDWAY the following Friday. I made this for a Command Master Chief in San Diego, who probably has the largest challenge coin collection I have seen to date. He could probably fill three of these tables. Table is constructed in cherry with true raised panels. Sliding dovetails join the panels to the cabriole legs. Top has 1/4 inch thick glass. Although the table is stained it was put in the sun to darken it a tad bit. Coming home from an unexpected trip to Raliegh, NC I found myself way behind the power curve. I asked my brother to make the CMC’s crest while I tackled the table. Yes I was under the gun…big times! The coins on display are my small collection. Your donations will be greatly appreciated and displayed on future projects. : )

Thanks,
Ken
P.S. Al, your coins are to the bottom right of the CMC pin. Thanks!

Nice work I really like that style of legs you made. Are they considered a Queen Ann Style ?

One of the best display tables I have seen on here! Amazing work and I’m sure Master Chief LOved it! Nice work and great job finishing on time.

Super work….Where did you find the pattern for the legs?

Nice job Ken. I’d love to donate some challenge coins but I have none. They didn’t exist during my 20 year Navy career, back when Mody Dick was a guppy.

DOGHOUSE77-the leg pattern was drawn/layout by me. It took a litttle patience a compass and some french curves.

The time put into the legs was definitely worth it. They’re gorgeous. I’m looking for ideas for a shadowbox coffee table for my wife.
