Last year I made a yoga halasana bench for a colleague. It’s on my page. A month or so ago, she asked if I would be interested in making an altar for the yoga studio that she used to practice in. Of course I said sure.
She had taken her bench home with her when she started teaching at another location and the manager wanted something to take its place. The only criteria was to incorporate the studio’s logo on the top. The same friend who did the lotus leaves on the first bench did the Om mandala.
The wood is the same – canary wood – and again a simple dovetail joint on 3/4” stock. Finished in tung oil and paste wax.
