Part of the bedroom suite for my friend. Poplar with Pine drawers. The length made this thing a bit of a pain (she didn’t want a fifth leg in the middle), so I had to stiffen the drawer frames by setting them a bit into grooves the sides and the back. The center dividers are screwed into each their respective supports and cause everything to get real rigid.

The dresser is 62” long on 3” thick legs. Top three drawers are flush to their dividers and inset about 1/8 inch from the leg fronts, the bottom four are inset 1/8” from the divider/leg fronts. Gloss white Rust-o-leum oil paint with a foam roller.

Looks great and the nightstand too. Are you doing a bed as well?

Yeah. The bed and headboard need final assembly and paint, but I’m out of room in my garage, so I’m patiently waiting for my friend to pick up this stuff so I can get the rest of it done.

Have your say...
