Last in a series of boxes built as a thank you and tribute to friends that saw me through some dark times. This one is for my other mother. Built from bigleaf maple, walnut (from LJ Schroeder) and purpleheart. Box is padded with Sealcoat shellac and sprayed with Target Coatings EM6000 waterborne lacquer. Walnut tray was finished with wet-sanded homebrew varnish oil, shellac and then sprayed. Padded silk moire lining. Approximately 8” x 11” x 4”.

Douglas, the box is really nice

It just stands out and not just

the contrasting colours, the design

is tight.

Nice gift, good way to say “Thank You”

That’s a very nice box, Doug. I’m sure that she loved it.
