Hi all,
I’ve been signed up here on LumberJocks for quite a while now enjoying everyone else’s projects so I guess it’s about time I contribute. I’m pretty new to woodworking but I have been into photography for a number of years. So, what better project to get myself started in woodworking than picture frames right?
This one is made from some walnut that my father in law got me for my birthday last year. It was the first “real wood” I ever had to work with and sat around until this past Christmas when it was turned into several picture frames (two of which went to my father in law). The splines are maple left over from some wood whisperer cutting boards. The finish is Arm-R-Seal.
Thanks for looking,
Mark

These are beautiful frames. The edge treatment and the splines add nice details to the frames.
Well done.

Very nice, It compliments but at the same time does not detract from the picture.

Good looking frame Mark. I’m thinking about building some myself. The splines are a very nice touch.

Great looking frame. The frames I see in the stores are not near as nice and are extremely expensive.
