You’ve got the country look down pat.

Nice work.

No finish needed. If it were me and had exact same lumber left, I would split the bottom in half and do three drawers on one side and split the other side in two with a middle shelf and do a door.

I like the look as well. I probably wouldn’t put doors on top either. If you do, I would put glass in them. The bottom, without knowing width I couldn’t make the call on 2 or 4 drawers. I do like previous post idea with drawers. You could also center the drawers with small shelves on both sides. Just a thought.

Looks good. If you can wait and let the fresh cuts weather or dye them gray a clear coat would be nice.
Unfinished looks good but try dusting it! I would leave the top open and add 2 doors to bottom with same wood, just my thoughts

I’d say two doors on the bottom, and leave the top as is for display – assuming you’re are seeking a country informal look. If you want a more formal look, and you are going to finish the wood with some shellac or semigloss wiping varnish, glass doors on the top, maybe drawers on the bottom. Maybe drawers half way across the bottom with a door on one side. Looks good so far, please post final pictures too. Thanks for showing.

Because the space in the bottom is so large and open, I would put doors. It will get pretty cluttered up most likely.
