I have not got the slightest idea!! It must go on some machine that has a large shaft that the one on the left clamps onto. the screw clamps look like they hold a piece that is to be machined.. but on what????

It looks like an old Zyliss vise.

I got one in my travel workshop, It comes in handy when I visit my kids or niece. They always got something that needs fixing.

What I do not see is the vise which is really what makes the Zyliss so handy. google Zyliss or Z-Vise.

That’s right. They are accessory attachments to the Zyliss system. But where is the vise. I hope you have it so you can use all those attachments. I bought a set about 20 yrs ago – still works fine – finding new uses for it regularly. Then I found parts like yours at a garage sale. Great vise!

Well, the first obvious thing I haven’t seen anyone mention is that you have an AWESOME fiancee, to be on the lookout for tools for you. Congrats!

As for the vice, make a saved search on eBay for (z-vise, z vise), and have the results e-mailed to you. It’s a great way to keep on top of eBay auctions, and might help you find the other pieces.

I found this – http://www.advmachinery.com/manuals/Zvise.pdf – but I am not sure it applies to you vise. Maybe it’s for a later version of it.

Anyway, congrats!
