I made this cabinet for my son back when the Seattle Sonics were around. He was a big fan and especially of Gary Peyton, as we all were. Finally decided to take a picture of it. It was alot of fun making considering I just had a jigsaw and sander back then. I hope I don’t get sued using their logo. We sure miss our Sonics!!

Yes I followed the Sonics for many years as well, when I lived in Washington….perhaps they needed to move since they are playing like they did in the 70’s now.

NICE!! I loved the Sonics. Shaun Kemp and Gary Peyton. Heck when I was playing basketball I always wore the Gary Peyton 2s! Nice locker.

We are hoping they come back. We even bought the Sonics Channel when they played and we never do that sort of thing. My youngest son loved them so I made this for him to store his basketball and other equipment. Just came across it upstairs and thought I’d better record it for posterity! Thanks for the compliments.

At least you still have the Mariners and Ichiro. Scratch that last part.

Condolences on the loss of your team I used to love watching Shawn Kemp back in the day and when the Blazers would host the sonics and they did a back to back the quick trip to watch both games was killer fun. I was a Blazer Fan back then I still Fallow them but living in California I am a Laker Fan now and I still pray for the Blazers to win it all. But I bet it sucks they get Durant then they leave screwing the fans that supported them for decades .

Nobody could alley-oop like Kemp & Payton. I don’t think Kemp got the respect he deserved (in basketball of course). Kemp also has a restaurant up here in Seattle. This project was a small homage to those good times.

I guess you’ll have to watch the Blazers now.
Nice project!
