A Krenov Cabinet A Krenov Cabinet No-picture-s Click the pictures to enlarge them

Hi all,
This is my take on a Krenov Cabinet originally designed and built in the ‘70’s
The carcass is Sydney Blue Gum, with Tasmanian Blackwood back and shelves. The doors are book matched American Beech with Black bean frames. The stand is Tasmanian Blackwood.
The unit stands about 55”. The cabinet is about 29.5” high by 20” wide and 7.5” deep. The stand makes up the balance of the height.

Regards,

Rob

Yes Jim Krenov was a master and still is….you can find him on the faculty at

Rob,

You have designed and built a beautiful cabinet. You chose a nice selection of woods as well.

Thanks for the post.

I am re-reading “A Cabinetmaker’s Notebook” right now and a James Krenov style cabinet in on my never-ending list of projects to do. Nice job. I love the different woods.

Great job Rob & a bit of international flavour with the wood.

This is gorgeous. I am toying with building one for my daughter Abigail. She wants a cabinet for her 19th birthday.
