desk im making,,, african mahogany,, redheart,,ebony,pink ivory.. fire was cut and inlayed with a router,, i dont have a bandsaw yet.. cant wait to show the final projec.t its 6ft long,, about 33 tall,, im rather tall so i made it to fit,, the middle top is for drawing,, its angled,, pink ivory and ebony are extremely hard,, i lacquered the fronts a few coats before inlaying,,,(keeps the black dust from getting in the pores of the lighter woods).. i made a routing pattern for the ebony fire,, but i had to free hand the red heart ones,,

its wood inlay,, im hoping to start marquetry this winter when its too cold to woodwork

i have one more front to make then im done:) im going to try a dragon made from snake wood and ebony for the middle front,,
