This is a box I built to replace one we had at work. The old one was smaller and made of plywood so I decided to jazz things up a bit!
The interior is sized to accept an 8.5×11 sheet of paper and the box is about 8 inches high. Made of maple and walnut with waterborne poly over shellac for finish.

Thanks Jamie.
The box is essentially a central point for collecting information that is meant to be private. Hence, the lock and key.

Steve that is a great idea
Some folk with a Dementia have carers
coming in to give meds and the like
There normally notes as well. This would
be a nice way to keep them a wee bit
more private

Great looking box. I like the contrast between the wood. Your dovetails look great too!

Very nice joinery and walnut and maple always work well together. Definately a lot classier than plywood!
