This is another one of those discontinued headboards Pottery Barn. It was finished in August 2012. They call it the Stratton Smart Technology Headboard. Same story as before the customer purchased the platform form PB with the intention of coming back and buying the headboard later. When they were ready the headboard was no longer available.

This customer had a few different features they wanted added. They wanted a removable center panel that could be removed and upholstered later. They also sent me an electrical control box that has USB connector in it. The box flips around when not in use. Also each shelf has a maple grommet for wiring.

The color was matched from an exiting drawer. The customer got a sample from the store but it wasn’t an exact match, they just send the drawer instead.

The coordination for this bed was done all the way from Afghanistan. The husband is deployed there and wanted this to be a surprise for his wife. We ran into problems when the samples from PB wouldn’t match the exiting furniture and had to get a drawer for an exact match. No way for a friend to get us the sample drawer without her knowing so we let her in on the secret. The color matched great. You can see it on top of the headboard in one of the pictures.
