These are three end tables that I finished recently. The tops are all cut from one piece of roasted maple, two have hickory legs, and the third table has birch legs. The maple finishes beautifully and luckily the large board I had was pretty flat so it didn’t take a lot of milling to flatten these shorter (27”x13”) sections for table tops.
The two cutting boards I built for my wife…she doesn’t like them all that much because she says they are too heavy. I tried to explain to her that heavy means quality :) One board is birch grooved out with a loose maple tongue and hickory feet extending out. 2nd board is birch with cherry feet.
Final little project were some flower boxes I built to hang off our porch railing. The porches we have in this complex are pretty small so keeping plants on the ground takes up a lot of space so building a box with an arm on the back did the trick…we have seven up with veggies right now. They are pretty rough design but get the job done.
Hope you got a little joy out of looking because I got a lot of it out of building.
