Magnificent work. You do such fine craftsmanship. Did you also do the painting?
I always enjoy your projects. They are simply works of beauty.

That is the perfect frame for that great painting. I thought the miters were reinforced with hog rings til I read the post. That is some great wood.

It took me awhile to get to this. Glad I did. A lot of how did you questions. LOL! Did you start with new wood or? How long did this take you, cause it will take me 4 to 6 times as long. LOL! Have to make a frame for a piece an artist friend made for me. Have me thinking. Wabi-Sabi!

I very wanted to put my frame as fast as I can. so the first photos – don’t looks like old. Now I insert the picture – yes, I draw it byself, it’s replica from the old picture, and now it’s the end of the work – it looks like original drawing with krakelyur. I’m not a good photographer, so there are not a good photo of my work.
The frame is glued and decorated by the rope – I’ve layed the thick from the thin and put in the corners of the frame.
I’ve made all from the new piece of wood and new rope. but all made like old style.whatabout time – the frame took 1 day, drawind took 1 day and to make it like old – 1 day too.
