Simple, yet functional. How big of a groove do you cut for the coins to sit in?

Haven’t made any of them myself, but I’m guessing that groove is about 3/16”, judging from some of the coins I have.

1/4” dado. I wanted to make sure those pesky thick coins fit!

Looking at my coins, I was thinking 1/4” was probably about right, to allow a little “lean.” Thanks. Might try my hand at one of these today.
