Rainbow (Mineral Stained) Poplar sides and lid. Red Palm trim around the lid and Purpleheart feet.
I wasn’t sure about the Purpleheart, but my wife thought it looked good, so I went with it….. still not sure.
Anyway, my two typing fingers hurt, so I will post the rest tomorrow.
Thank you for looking and your comments guys….. constructive criticism is ALWAYS welcome. I try to learn something new every day.

Oh yeah, the large spline wasn’t supposed to be large, but I had some tearout so I had to punt. Maybe it looks better???

Nice work. I am using some mineral stained Poplar for a box. It is interesting wood. Greens, yellows, and browns. You did a good job with yours. Nice fix on the oops.

-- Robert, so much inspiration here, and now time to work!!!

the mix of colors was amazing! Make sure you post yours when you’re done.

Stumpy,

Nice variety in construction techniques. In your rush to post you have omitted any dimensions. Would you mind including those? What is your finish process?

Thought it was you but your wife has a great eye for color and integration. LOL! Seriously. Nice stuff you are producing. Like your direction and unique take on boxes.

That is some beautiful poplar and the red palm was a first for me. Nice!
