Made this from recycled mortar slats from an old Mennonite church. Once I planed the pieces down they came out quite nice! The solid bottom piece I had laying around dictated the size. Most of the simple projects I put together are at a whim without any plans of forethought. They are like pieces of art.

That looks cool! Put a couple of Coor’s or Coke logo’s on it and you could have a real money maker!

Yeoldepirate1, Great crate! you might like an interesting take on this design and use. Get a copy of Woodsmith issue #110 volumn 19,April 1997. There is a great stackable storage rack system in that issue. Your crate remided me of it. I built several for my son’s room back then for his books and all. Great issue and simple design.
