The OIC (Officer in Charge) of our shop left to take over as the Commander of another Squadron, so we needed a going away gift. She is somewhat vertically challenged and always needed to use a stool in the shop. We decided to make one for her to take along. The top is laser engraved with our shop logo and a saying that some of the guys came up with. It is maple and mahogany with a poly finish and several coats of wax.

You know that some projects never get noticed, I have experienced it on several occasions.

When I saw the inscription it made me curious as I was expecting “walk softly and carry a big stick”! I am also vertically challanged and I am short too, so I appreciate this going away gift!

It will serve her well and be a good moment of the “other” guys.

It looks strong and well built!

That would be a very nice stool for anyone, vertically challenged or not! Thanks for sharing.
