Up a creek with a couple of paddles......

Not completely smart on the “significance” of the paddle plaques but have been seeing them presented as gifts recently prompting me to learn how to do fancy ropework…..You Tube University has tons of tutorials on how to do this and even this caveman figured it out. I can’t take credit for the paddles as they were purchased from a local marina but plan on making nice quality paddles out of exotic woods to compliment the rope work. Thanks for looking and appreciate any feedback to improve.

Looks like a rope trick to me. Very nice.

The ropework is equally impressive as the woodworking.
Nice job.
