Giraffe? Bandsaw box.

A silly bandsaw box I made. I wanted to do something ‘different’ and it started out as a tree that was going to have sculpted roots for the stand. But as I worked on it, it reminded me more of a giraffe. So, I added a couple of eyes and a couple of horns and there ya go! It’s a GIRAFFE! HA!

It IS one piece! How did you do the whole project without breaking it?
The woman who wrote the famous book on bandsaw boxes had a great tip…... depending on the width of the gap, you just put in a really thin piece of wood on the bottom inside to even out the gap. On one bandsaw box I did, I used a shaved down toothpick and it came out perfect. Hope you don’t mind the tip.
I agree with kookaburra, alien giraffe! Love the sculpted legs too.
