The first one is an original design. Made of walnut, keyed dovetail miter joints, pinned lids that conceal trays for misc items, rings, tie clips, cuff links, etc. and a tray for display items. My retirement watches earn this spot. Not for the guy with a LOT of jewelry. The main body and tray of the second box is a mystery wood to me. Made from salvaged wood from an outdoor garden bench. It’s very porous and light weight. The lid and legs are from walnut as well. I made the padded trays on each of these with a foam pad and synthetic suede to cover it. Both are finished in Danish Oil.

Great idea and great job. You don’t see many jewelry boxes made for men and I like this idea. May just see what I can do making one.
Thanks for sharing.

I really like the first one. It is unique. I absolutely love unique. Shows thought and imagination.
Second box is nicely done as well.

Nice boxes ! The “doors” on the first one, and how they open with the finger holes, is neat !
