Weekend project, sticking to handtools as much as possible. This is what you get for showing clients your work. “Can you make us a table for our entry?” Sure. This is the result. Stained cherry to match their stuff. I love how the legs mimic their chairs; 90 degrees on one corner and a quarter round on the public-facing sides. Beautifully opposite designs.
To clarify: I didn’t make the chairs, but matched them with the console table in the middle. It’s things like this; simple and honest, clean lines, pure joinery, within the reach of comfort and ability, that bring me back to square one and help me to again appreciate the joy of designing and creating. Sometimes the simplest things feed my sense of satisfaction.

Beautiful color.
-- I wish wood grew on trees so that this was a cheaper hobby.

Even properly doing “simple” things right takes time and skill. Very nice job.

-- When did quiet and quite become the same word ? I'm guessing about the same time as your and you're did.
Have your say...
