This project for a client went through many sketches until she liked the one here.
My client wanted a place to sit and read while giving a place for her reading companion, her cat, to sit as well and both to sunbath. The corner cabinet has a lid in the top that allows for storing items. The seat lifts up and removes to access even more storage.
Just another fun simple project i thought I’d share.

really nice design there bob, yes you have to make everyone happy, especially the cat…we have an white kitty, she likes to come in at night and sit with my wife, she want to sit right on her chest, so the compromise and the kitty gets to lay on the desk in front of her…..but …considerations must be made for the kitty…....

It was easy to make the cat happy just leave a shelf at the window wide enough. The client was a bit more demanding but not more than she was entitled to be.

DBoltz, thanks. That’s my world. Not how to build a widget but can I build a widget to fit this space.
This shot looks even better with her upholstery work in place but I forgot to take a pic.
