I’m always being asked by friends and colleagues to come over and help them fix something around their house. So, I thought I needed a real travelling tool box to complete the look of a real handy man. I built this from 1×10 pine I had laying around the garage. I think I found some plans floating around the internet. It comes in handy not only going to someone else’s house, but also to keep my tools in centralized when I’m working on something inside my own house. It’s about 24” long and is about 8” deep below the handle. I finished the box with two coats of tung oil finish to add a little protection.

Looks like a time-honored design. The catch on the drawer is a thoughtful addition !
