I started out working on a Santa but I mucked up the right eye,,, so now we have a pirate instead. Acrylics and Basswood, 4.5” tall. Thanks.

See! I always hesitate telling folks what I am making….. ‘cause half the time it turns out to be something else. I was carving a frog spoon from a forked piece of grapefruit wood with the two branches being legs and all of a sudden it looked more like rabbit ears and so I just went with it. The similarity between Santa and a pirate is that one says Ho Ho Ho and the other says Yo Ho Ho (and a bottle of rum). Good job on the carving… no matter the intent.

-- I just got done cutting three boards and all four of them were too short. (true story)
