It has been long time since my last project. I needed a workbench and a few weekends ago I started building me one, and here are some pictures. As you can see I made a few mistake like start building the bench without having the vise. The workbench is 35’’ tall 24” deep and 48” long. The vise is 19” long by 10 “wide.I made it aout of oak and the drawers front is mahogany.

My next project is a router table,I purchased a INCRA 17” LS Super System (17”) and a JessEm Rout-R-Lift II

I like the bench – the size is similar to something I’m looking to build myself. But … can you open the upper right drawer? The vise seems to be in the way.

It’s really nice. I’m not convinced that you need the width on that vise jaw. I bet you could trim it down and reclaim that drawer. Judging by your dogs, I see your rationale, though. It’s a really nice bench.

You won’t be displeased with your router lift. I have the same one and am very happy that i spent the money on it. Great looking bench…that is actually next on my list.
