In 2001 I made this Worm Composting Box for my friends, who won it in our annual fundraiser auction. It was customized for them upon the request of a removable drawer for the worm castings so they could be carried away without having to shovel them. I also built a stand for it, so there was no stooping involved in utilizing the box. I believe they also painted it to match their house.
Maybe I should post this in Garden Tenders… :)

Absolutely Cindy,
It is perfect for G/Tenders. Here in Ca. It is imperative to encourage earthworms in our gardens.
When I lived in Arkansa(W)s, I/we raised worms to fish with. We had big problem with Coons stealing them.
First we used chicken wire over the boxes, coons got’em, framed lid & put Wood turn latch on it, coons got’em,
Put hasp on it with peg, coons got’em, Had to put padlock to keep’em out! I can still hear the rattling of the lock!...LOL
