This is a commissioned piece ordered by one of my best customers.
She intends to give this as a gift to some very good friends of hers early next month. Needless to say, they are Dodgers fans.
I really appreciate when customers trust me enough to create projects that they intend to give as gifts – it means they put their faith in my work even more than usual. I usually put a little more effort into making a project perfect when I know it will be given as a gift. :-)
Piece is cut into a 10” circle of Baltic Birch Plywood.
Finish is a soak in lemon oil and a backing of thick felt for contrast.
Enjoy!

Nicely don Bob, I really like the way you did the cursive Logo.

That could be a great seller. Nice design and workmanship.

Thanks all for the great comments and compliments!
To answer Larry’s question….. No this is not entirely my design. The customer sent me a link to a website with a bunch of “older” Dodgers logos, etc…... and I saw this one.
I had to modify it quite a bit so I could use it as a scrollsaw pattern, but it is most certainly not my original idea.
Now, if she only had ordered a Baltimore Orioles sign I would have been really happy! ;-)

Good job Bob.
Clever idea doing the ball that way – neat.

First Springsteen, now the dodgers, I should’ve put in an order and had you make two of each. Great job, I too thought the ball looked real.

That is beautiful and I’m sure your customer would like it!
