The slab is cottonwood. The wind took down a couple big cottonwood trees about 1-1/2 years ago. Cutting them for signs. Hope to cut some long slabs and try it on some other projects.

The second picture is a brother to the ash bench from yesterday. It sold last night so I thought I would put together another this morning. Before I was done assembling it, it sold. Guess I’ll build another tomorrow. The slabs from yesterday, today & tomorrow are consecutive slabs from the same tree. 51” long x 40” tall x 26” deep.

Thanks for looking

Way to go Monte- Sounds like a jackpot if you are selling stuff faster than you can finish it. Cool sign but do you think the bark will stay attached?

Great sign and beautiful bench Monte! Cotton wood is a fun wood to work with.

I like the bench and the sign Monte, I can understand clearly why anyone would want one.
