This was the second podium and first commissioned piece I did in 2010 for the Lake Union Civic Orchestra, here in Seattle, WA. The client provided their logo, which I cut from Maple and glued to Walnut, then inset into the front of the podium. The base is made from African Mahogany (Khaya) and the tapered legs from Bubinga. This piece is a bit more refined than the prototype.

Good looking podium ! The color of the khaya appears quite different in pix 6 vs pix 1 !

BTW – I think it’s flash vs. ambient flourescent lighting on the pictures…pretty, though!
