Very cool! I’ve got a squirrely piece of walnut with a live edge in the shop…wasn’t sure what to do with it. Think I’ll “borrow” your idea.

I would not be using this beautiful piece of wood as a cutting board. I would want to show it off – a cheese board or bread board for the table would be my choice. But it is for your aunt and not my choice :-)

How did you finish it?

Once I showed it to her she said she would never cut on it so now it is a cheese serving tray as you suggested. I finised it with mineral oil and beeswax.
