Here are a couple of little guys that I carved this week. The main body of the man is 2” tall. I came across a tutorial by Lynn Doughty that showed adding a cowboy hat in 2 extra pieces, so I tried it out and pretty happy with my first cowboy hat. Thanks.

Very cute. Lot better than I could do.

Neat little guys! They look really nice!
What wood are they carved out of?

Thanks for the comments.

Robert – They are carved out of basswood and painted with acrylic paints.

I’ve always liked caricatures; I just can’t do them! I can’t see the image in the wood before carving it, and if I can’t see it, I cant carve it! You’re lucky and did a very good job!
