I just posted my dog feeding station a couple days ago but I completed it last October. One thing I noticed, is I keep stepping over the dog bowls. I just finished a raised dog bowl stand (not sure what to call it) for a gentleman I work with and my wife says “I should make that for our two dogs”. The idea stewed for couple weeks. I had to consider a couple things in my design; 1) dogs are different heights, 2) I didn’t want the bowls next to each other 3) I really wanted the bowls off the floor and out of my way.
Here’s the result:
Pic 1, shows the a new drawer attached to the bottom of original cabinet.
Pic 2, shows an extended drawer and lower bowl slide-out extended. The drawer is made out of baltic birch.
Pic 3, top view of drawer unit.
Pic 4, shows the lower bowl slide-out.
Pic 5, the drawer unit is upside down with lower bowl slide-out part way extended. It also shows the stop for lower bowl slide-out.
Pic 6, dinner time.
Thanks for viewing.

What I liked about your original post was that you kept the cabinet off the floor. I think most people would have built it to just sit on the floor. You still have a place for feet under this concept.
I can see your next upgrade as a push button to open the drawers automatically for these pampered pooches…..............

Ok this is fantastic. We have two dogs and their bowl constantly gets pushed around our kitchen floor. I love that this just stows away when not in use.
One question though: My german shepherd mix tends to be a sloppy drinker and would get the water all over this pull out “drawer”...do you have this problem and is mold/mildew an issue?

Wow, this is the most clever feeding station I’ve seen here. I absolutely love it.

Thanks for the kind words.
Adam, this is just for food bowls, no water. I wouldn’t put a water bowl in this unit.
Redryder, no automation being incorporated, we’ll stick with foot power.
Have your say...
