This is a painting I did on wood. Only my 3rd painting. Had limited paints and paints were not in good condition…. so it is what it is…. LOL

I have an affinity for western and native american art. Very nice.

I like it, can’t wait to see what you can do with good quality paint.

Thank you all very much. I was a bit disappointed with this painting… as it has to be the worse painting of the 3 that I have done. But not alot you can do when you only working with a handful of paint colors. Had to do alot of mixing them. Plus the paint was almost dried up so ended up having to add some water to every color. I didn’t know if I was allowed to post this painting as there is no section for it…. but figures since it is on wood it would be ok… hope I didn’t offend anyone with doing so. Thanks again everyone :)

Hi Dana, it is on wood and looks good but there will be someone on here getting upset. They are touchy.

Considering the constraints you worked under, I would say it worked out pretty well ! It’s a project made out of wood so, of course, it qualifies !

Better than anything I could do Dana, even with top quality paints and brushes, I to like native American art, and it’s on wood so I should think it qualifies, by the way what type of wood is it?

Thanks Rilanda… it is on cedar. I wanted to paint and didn’t have any canvases. Figured I had those cedar pieces I have been woodburning on so wanted to try and see if the paint would stick to it. Finally after almost making watercolors out of the dried up acrylics it worked… lol
