Wall-hanging mirror, beveled glass. Made from mahogany, redwood burl veneer on quartered poplar (for stability in movement). Constructed with offset should mortise and tenon with an additional rabbet. Top is a triple tenon. I made my own shaper knives to cut the top molding. Everything is hand-carved. The rosettes are carved then inlayed into the piece for the contrast. The columns and capitals are made from a single split turning. Was carved then split.
Finished with shellac, danish oil, and wax.

You may be new to LJ’s but it’s obvious that you’re not exactly a new hand at this. All the pieces you’ve posted are exquisite, I just really like this one so that’s where I’ll comment!
