A friend from work had salvaged some crossarms and laminated them to make some large timber for a bed. He had some extras and needed to make space so I became the recipient of the beams. I resawed some to make this table about 6-7 years ago.
The wood is fir, it’s glued and nailed together with a poly finish. I left all of the “defects” in the wood for a more rustic look. The idea for the table is from a 5 sided bench but, the sides are longer than a bench to make it a table. It sits by our entry door and ends up collecting whatever items get placed on it either coming or going.
