these small ring boxes were made for consignment at a local gift shop here in Kansas city, I made about 18 of them out of cherry, bubinga, maple and walnut. the stripes are various woods, and the finish is danish oil. the boxes have three padded rolls in the bottom to hold two rings, and we chose two patterns: linked rings, and also linked hearts for the engraving.

I have a few questions about these lovely little boxes:
Dimensions? I’d guess about 1.5 inches inside with about 1/4 to 3/8 inch material thickness. Close?
How much are you charging the store for each one?
Have you thought of doing custom orders through the shop with initials engraved along with or instead of the designs you now offer (at an additional charge of course)?
Lastly, how they selling? Probably be best around May or June.

Nice boxes. Since they’re small and shipping wouldn’t be too bad, maybe flog them on Etsy ?

Dave, let me know how your sales go. I like the work. Did you do the engraving? Hope this leads to some tool money. You might consider putting more in other jewelry shops if this works.
Judging from the background of your desk photo, you have bought some of my favorite toys to play with.

Dave, consider making some of these with no engraving too. Customers find uses for boxes beyond what we plan.

Nice boxes. Do you see that customers prefer a hinged lid over the lift-lid?
