This makes the third box made similar to each other in design. I made the original a while back to test out a half-blind dovetail jig as well as to practice installing the quad hinges. The Porter Cable jig worked great and the quad hinges are not easy. There’s templates on the market to install them but they cost a bit and would be used very little.
Anyhow, this is made from walnut joined by half-blinds. The lid and base molding are router formed. Te he first two boxes had felt lining, but I didn’t have a large enough piece on hand. I used a contrasting veneer for the bottom of the box. The hinges are tough to install cleanly. I still haven’t been able to do them without fixing flaws. I used a wipe on oil for finish with a sprayed top coat. I used a dark toned wax once it all cured.

Very beautiful box.

Nice! I’ll bet those hinges are difficult. Good job!
