I uploaded this before but I thought I’d add it to my projects and share it with those who may not have seen it. If you’ve seen this already – my apologies. :^)

Single use (one per side): Only prevents push.

Double use (two per side): Prevents push and pull.

Very clever. When you said single use, I immediately thought ‘one time use’ but that just did not make any sense! I think even I could make a set of these. And I just may do so.

Simple and effective. Since I don’t have a vice for my work bench for planing, these things are looking very interesting.

This is why I love the LJ site and the jocks! I don’t have decades of experience but, I learn pretty quick. I learn a lot from the LJs! Thanks for the post of the day!

Thanks for the post, these look quite handy. Although you may want to change the name to “Golden” or “Fibonacci” Spiral Clamps based on the template you were using. The Bernoulli spiral is a bit different, but may work also.

@Dylan – A Bernoulli spiral IS a logarithmic spiral. I used a logarithmic spiral that grows outward by the golden ratio.

A golden spiral IS a Bernoulli spiral that grows outward by a factor of the golden ratio.

Take a look at the link below if you would like to print a picture and make these for free. Not sure $5.00 for a picture is worth it….I am just saying.

@Sodabowski. Make a set and you won’t regret it. They are now some of my most used tools.
