About a year ago, whenever the Gnomeo and Juliette movie came out, my wife asked me to carve her a gnome.
I carved one in about 3 days and she seemed to like it. I told her I don’t paint so that was up to her. She was afraid she was going to mess up so it sat on a shelf until last weekend. My wife took the kids for the day and I was home alone with not a lot to do so I grabbed the Gnome, found some paints and went to work.
My friend who paints miniatures told me about dry brushing to make flesh look more real so I tried to do what he told me.
I think it turned out really well but he seems to look more like a Santa now than a Gnome. I guess I should have given him a blue coat like the roaming Gnome.

He does look Christmas-y but he sure is a cutie. Most important question – does your wife life the paint job? If so, perfect!
