Not that exciting of a project but last Saturday night my wife ask if I could build her a prop for her Sunday school lesson the next day which was on the parable of the wise man who built his house upon a rock and the foolish man who built his house upon the sand. So after thinking for a bit, being told I couldn’t use the fire hose in the church, a few hours in the shop and a little scrap Brazilian Cherry hardwood flooring this is what I came up with…
The dado should have been a bit wider as the sand bound a bit but it worked well, the kids liked it and now I have a really large, uh, pencil box in the shop.

Looks great! The thought can be clearly observed. How long did you finish that one?

Thanks, it’s more notice than I get on a lot of projects. :)
It went really quickly, maybe 2 hours plus glue time.
Have your say...
