Here’s the bedroom suite I made for my daughter back in 2004.
The bed was a bit of a challenge since I had no plans – only a picture sent from my daughter.
The head board has a slight curve to it – like a sleigh bed – so all the slats had to be individually bent & shaped.
The night stand is from a Woodsmith design, as is the lamp. I’m not sure where the dresser plans came from but the mirror was my own simple design to match the curves in the headboard of the bed.
Everything was made from PA cherry & cherry ply, all drawers were dovetailed.
Thanks for looking

Absolutely stunning. My favorite piece is the headboard. Excellent job bending those slats. The finish really makes the grain pop, too.

These are nice clean pieces. They look really nice and I’ll bet that your daughter really appreciates them.

Gepatino: I’ve added some pictures of one of the dovetailed drawers as you requested. Fortunately the dresser is here in Prescott, AZ w/us while my daughter is living in Capetown, SA. It’s been so long since I made this that I forgot I made aromatic cedar liners for the largest dresser drawers. The cedar is usually used to line closets but I must have thought it would be a good idea to make up some panels to slip into the drawers. Sometimes I surprise even myself!
Thanks again everyone for your kind responses. It’s really been an encouraging ego boost. It is especially nice to be appreciated by other folks who work just as hard & suffer the same trials & tribulations trying to get everything as “right” as possible.
