I have been wanting to build this design for a while, and finally found the wood to do it out of. In the scrap bin!
It has pieces of white oak, hickory, cherry, ambrosia maple, hard maple, barnwood pine, and blue pine in it. The top is food safe, treated with only mineral oil, and is removable for cleaning. It also has a storage box underneath and the back side has a dato to lock it in place. The shelves and side pieces also sit in datos and a minimal number of screws allow it to be broken down with a screwdriver. The sides/ shelves are finished in danish oil and covered with a hard wax.

I really like the design, with storage space for a variety of heights – very trick !
