Blue Pine Endgrain Serving Tray

I built this serving tray as a wedding present for a friend. The challenge was that it was requested to be end-grain like a table I made previously. This was the best I could come up with that would still hold any weight. It is finished with semi-gloss poly.

That is impressive. Are the pieces on the right in pic 4 long-grain up?

Thank you, they are not. I wanted them the long way for better resistance to the shear forces of weight on the surface.
