Three Continent Walnut Dining Table. Top sunburst in European Walnut, outside border is figured Austrailian Walnut and base is solid American Black Walnut.
Top is veneer with Holly inlay. Base is solid and hand shaped. Original design.

Thank you all for the nice comments. Yes, it was my own design. I came up with the final shape after making a full scale model with pink insulation foam. Kenns, the substrate is 1 1/8” mdf. I wanted something I could use with a single ply veneer and would stay flat and stable over time. I did put a 1/8”x1/8” solid wood strip on the top outside edge for a small amount of protection. It turned out to be a good idea because it has gotten a few very little dings there.
