This was a used Christmas Tree that was destined for the chipper. I cut off the branches and trimmed the top and bottom to fit. The bottom is a felled tree from a golf course I worked at. I hand peeled the bark and used a tennon cutter on the bottom. The remaining branches were rounded over with my random orbit sander. The entire project is finished with Minwax Polycrylic.
This is now used as a coat hanger in my classroom.

Very clever use of the materials at hand. I’m impressed by thought process used to come up with this. I like seeing creative use of materials that would have otherwise gone to waste.
