Beautiful wood and craftsmanship. She won’t get to use it long as a baby, but I bet it spends years in her room as a doll cradle for her toys and again as a cradle for her babies. The first major project I ever made was a cradle for my first Granddaughter. I put a brass plaque on the side with her name, weight and birthday. Each baby that uses the cradle will have a plaque on the side so everyone will know who used the cradle. I also put another plaque on it with my name and date as the maker.
I don’t have any photos handy, but here's a bench I made for my Aunt’s 55th wedding anniversary. It’s got a plaque just like the one I put on the cradle. I buy them and have them engraved at a local trophy shop. A piece of furniture as nice as your cradle will last long past the memories of the family that will have babies sleeping in it for many years.
